Need of Personal Information
BeHighflyer.com is a one-to-one online tuition portal and therefore is personal. We need to collect some personal information (as listed in the Tutor Sign Up form and Student Sign Up form) from you to set up your account with us. Here are a few of the things we need your personal information for:
- Creating a personal tutoring session for you;
- Generating a record of all your archive sessions so you can review them anytime;
- Completing your purchases;
- Getting in touch with you about your account;
- Keeping you up to date about our service with newsletters by email. Out of respect of our users, you may opt-out of receiving these communications by sending us an email to unsubscribe any future newsletters;
- Looking for ways to make our service better by asking you for your feedback;
- Responding to your email requests for information and/or customer service.
When making your purchases, other additional information such as a credit card number may be necessary to execute the transaction and will be provided to the party handling the transaction. In the e-commerce sections of our site, we use the industry standard SSL encryption (SSL = secure socket layer). You are encouraged to review the privacy policies of these third party service providers. The use of such services will be password protected and uses SSL encryption.
Information Storage
To provide better service, we store personal information provided by the users. The "My Details" section of this website can be visited at anytime to see the personal information we have collected about you. We understand that you trust us with your personal information. Therefore, it is stored as securely as possible in our systems and is only used for its intended purpose. We may store users’ correspondence with the company but only if that is considered necessary to provide better service in the future.
Some of the things we would not do:
We would not display or make publicly available, whether through online directories, customer lists or otherwise, the personally identifiable information collected, except for the basic information (Name, Occupation, Qualification History, Experiences/Strengths, Levels and Subjects specialized in) that is displayed online for parents'/students' viewing, when searching for their preferred tutor.
We WILL NOT disclose, share, transfer, sell or rent personally identifiable information to any 3rd party.
Nevertheless, we may release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law,
- Enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements or
- Protect the rights, property or safety of the company, our users, or others.
Security of Internet
We do our best to guard your rights and privacy when using our sites. But, due to nature of Internet, information transmission over it cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure and users give their personal information at their own risk. Note also that if you make your own private information available for instance in a guestbook, message board or classified ads, that information can be used by others. We advise you to exercise caution in sharing your personal information over the Internet.
